What it does

• Open a check on a table, or as takeout or delivery
• Course a check and fire each course when the room is ready
• Hold, send, re-fire; move a line to a different course
• Split, transfer a table, reassign the server mid-shift
• Comp or void with a manager PIN when the cashier lacks the right
• Refunds and returns, per line, with a reason
• Tip pooling and payroll export at the end of the shift

How it works

Every check is a stream of events rather than a row that gets overwritten, so the history of an argued bill is still there afterwards.

What it saves. An order taken once, on a screen, is an order nobody remakes for free.
